A few days ago, Samsung completed releasing One UI 8.5 for all the Galaxy smartphones and tablets that it promised to offer the new software. Since then, the brand has been increasingly focusing on developing its latest Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones, One UI 9.0, for various devices. Now, the company seems to have started working on releasing the new software for the Galaxy A35.
On Samsung’s server, a new firmware file for the Galaxy A35 has been spotted. It carries firmware version A356EXXU9EZF1 (via Tarun Vats). Going by the brand’s firmware naming convention, it appears to have a newer version of Android skin than One UI 8.5, which is One UI 9.0. The latest discovery points that the update for the phone bringing the new software is now one step closer to release.
While One UI 8.5 is based on Android 16 QPR2, One UI 9.0 is based on Android 17. Along with the additional features that the new version of the OS offers, Samsung has packed it with more user interface customisation options, as well as even more features. You can check them out in our video at the end of this article.
Samsung unveiled One UI 9.0 last month and released its beta version for the Galaxy S26 series. The brand is expected to debut its stable version next month with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. Soon after that, the company is expected to start rolling out the new software to all the eligible devices.
